- Countryside parks
- Agricultural and forestry education institutions
- Conservation groups
The Midi Charcoal Kiln comes with a plain steel finish, unpainted. As such, you may notice superficial traces of rust upon delivery, which does not affect the kiln's performance or durability.

The Midi Kiln, unlike our larger commercial models of Ring Kilns, is simpler to handle and store. It includes:
- 6 ports and 3 chimneys made from high-quality materials
- Mild steel construction of various thicknesses (Dimensions are approximate)
- 1 Ring: 3mm steel, 950mm diameter x 750mm high
- 1 Lid: 1.6mm steel with a stiffening ring and three handles
- 6 Ports: 3mm steel
- 3 Chimneys: 1.5mm ERW tube, 1.2m long x 75mm dia.
- Note: This kiln does not feature butterfly valves on the chimneys, unlike the Mini model.
- Operating guidelines included
- We can only send these kilns within Mainland UK - which is at a flat rate of £140 inc VAT and will be automatically added to your basket at checkout.
- The Midi Charcoal Kiln is a made-to-order item. Please anticipate a lead time of approximately 4-6 weeks for us to deliver your kiln.
Designed for ease of movement and transportation, this kiln can be comfortably transported in a van, pick-up, or trailer. When not in use, its compact size allows for secure storage under lock and key.
Looking for Something More Portable?
Check out our Mini Charcoal Kiln for an even more portable solution. Also good option if you're solely using for demo purposes or personal use.
About Woodsmith:
At Woodsmith, we pride ourselves on offering the world's finest tools, books, and devices for woodcraft. But our identity goes beyond retail; we are, quite literally, a family of passionate craftspeople and makers. Our in-house products come directly from Maurice, Woodsmith's founder and a craftsman of 30 years; his daughter Izzy; our skilled team, including coppice workers and bowl turners; or our talented local leatherworker. Each item embodies our commitment to quality and the ongoing tradition of green woodworking.
Occasionally, we collaborate with talented blacksmiths, toolmakers, and fabricators - prioritising local makers whenever possible - to produce specially commissioned products inspired by our own designs.
