About the Maker - Svante Djarv Hantverk AB:
Svante Djarv Hantverk is a family business based in Avesta, Sweden, that specialises in creating hand-forged wood carving tools. Drawing inspiration from the Swedish metal-working tradition, they've built a broad range of tools, often in collaboration with experienced wood-crafters. Each year, they produce about 4,000 tools and knives, ranging from carving knives to axes, and they also have a unique tool line for children. Every tool is delivered ready for use, crafted from high-quality steel and complemented with handles made from Swedish hardwoods like elm and ash. Woodsmith has had a long-standing relationship with Svante and Elsa Djarv for over a decade, and we're proud to be the UK's largest stockist of their tools.
