The Svante Djarv Dogleg Gouge 30-25 is a rare tool of exceptional quality. Perfect for hollowing lower down in larger cups, kuksa and ladles, its design requires two-handed operation, making it ideal for projects where your wooden blank is held securely in a vice or other holding device. Similar to the Svante Djarv Dogleg Gouge 30-20, however, this gouge boasts a slightly longer cutting edge. Crafted from high quality Swedish steel, it ensures a sharp and lasting edge, ready to work. Encased in a protective Woodsmith leather edge sheath, this gouge is not only functional but is a delight to use.

Svante Djarv Hantverk is a family business that specialises in creating hand-forged wood carving tools. Drawing inspiration from the Swedish metal-working tradition, they've built a broad range of tools, often in collaboration with experienced wood-crafters. Each year, they produce about 4,000 tools and knives, ranging from carving knives to axes, and they also have a unique tool line for children. Every tool is delivered ready for use, crafted from high-quality steel and complemented with handles made from Swedish hardwoods like elm and ash. Woodsmith has had a long-standing relationship with Svante and Elsa Djarv for over a decade, and we're proud to be the UK's largest stockist of their tools.
