Bahco NYLON FELLING WEDGES are typically used when there is a possibility that the weight of a tree being felled might bear down on a saw, jamming it.
Nylon wedges are the preferred option when felling with a chain saw because should the saw chain come into contact with the wedge it will not damage the saws teeth.
Scales on one side of the wedge reduces the chance that it might jump out of the saw cut during the felling process.
Whilst this wedge is slim, every blow with a hammer drives the wedge deeper into the cut, nudging the tree further into the chosen direction of fall.
If you're milling timber with a powered mill, nylon felling wedges are useful to keep the kerf open and prevent the saws blade getting jammed.
They are very light and fit onto a forestry belt or holster.
Bahco NYLON FELLING WEDGES are bright orange so more difficult to lose.
They are highly impact-resistant, even in extremely cold weather.
Use with a sledge hammer.
