The Woodsmith Mini Charcoal Kiln is the most compact model in our Woodsmith charcoal kiln range, designed specifically for small-scale charcoal production. This steel kiln transforms low-value hardwood into high-quality BBQ charcoal, making it an excellent resource for small woodland owners, countryside parks, agricultural/forestry colleges, and conservation groups.
Features and Benefits:
- Production Capacity: Capable of producing 15-20kg of charcoal from hardwoods like oak, birch, and sycamore.
- Usage: Ideal for demonstrations, teaching, and small-scale personal production rather than commercial charcoal production. A typical burn completes in 4-5 hours.
- Portability: Easily transported in a small van, pick-up, or some estate cars with care.
- Storage: More manageable to store securely when not in use compared to larger commercial kilns.

About Woodsmith:
At Woodsmith, we pride ourselves on offering the world's finest tools, books, and devices for woodcraft. But our identity goes beyond retail; we are, quite literally, a family of passionate craftspeople and makers. Our in-house products come directly from Maurice, Woodsmith's founder and a craftsman of 30 years; his daughter Izzy; our skilled team, including coppice workers and bowl turners; or our talented local leatherworker. Each item embodies our commitment to quality and the ongoing tradition of green woodworking.
Occasionally, we collaborate with talented blacksmiths, toolmakers, and fabricators - prioritising local makers whenever possible - to produce specially commissioned products inspired by our own designs.
