Many years ago in isolated Norwegian mountain valleys like Hola, farmers had to be multi-skilled and able to make the things they needed from natural materials that were immediately to hand.

This 5 day course includes tuition in a range of traditional old Norwegian skills. This year it will be the building of wooden skigard fence, grass cutting using scythes, and air drying the grass on traditional wooden racks, in Norway called hesje.  Also we'll make small household items such as wooden bowls and spoons.
