This Birch Tree Tapping Kit is used when the sap begins to run in birch.  This is normally late February into March.

The kit includes the following:

• A turned oak tap
• A turned oak bung

You will also need an empty 5 litre water container and a 16mm (5/8") drill.

Tapping birch trees does not harm the tree but is s way to tap into natures own source.

Birch Tree Tapping Kit can produce:

• Refreshing drink
• Sweet syrup (like maple syrup but less air miles
• Traditional wine

Birch sap looks like water and has a faint taste like maple syrup. It is most refreshing straight from the tree.
