The Hans Karlsson Slöjd Carving Knife is a slimmer knife designed for carving, ideal for detailed and/ or final finishing work. Available in two sizes, the bevels on Hans Karlsson Slöjd Carving Knives are hollow ground, making resharpening an easier task.

The hand-forged blade comes sharp and ready to use and with a custom leather blade guard by Woodsmith. Whether you’re a seasoned carver or just starting out, the Hans Karlsson Slöjd Carving Knife is a tool you can rely on for precision, comfort, and durability.

This knife is my go-to spoon carving knife. I keep it honed and sheathed when not in use, and when it does get used for carving, it slices through anything like butter. The folks at Hans Karlsson know what they're doing when it comes to knives. Don't let price tags on the Hans Karlsson tools scare you away - these tools are the envy of everybody, and for good reason. They're made from the highest quality Swedish steel with high carbon, and in many cases, Hans Karlsson Klensmide AB uses industrial ball bearing steel (VERY strong and hard and good edge retention) for their tool making. There are other outstanding knife makers, and they all have a unique take on knives. Woodsmith UK happens to sell many of these knives, but for me, this is the main knife that I need and I cannot find another knife that matches up to this one. I absolutely highly recommend this knife, as it is impossible to be disappointed with such an amazing product.
