The Art of Chairmaking by Jason Mosseri
Windsor chairs, where the legs are mortised into the seat rather than forming the backrest, are renowned for the striking elegance of their form. The Art of Chairmaking is the perfect introduction to this chair making, guiding readers through every step - from selecting timber and setting up a workshop, to turning legs on the lathe and shaping a perfectly sculpted seat.
With detailed step-by-step photography and clear construction diagrams, this book is a complete resource for both aspiring and experienced chairmakers. In-depth, but still engaging and accessible, we definitely feel this has been a book we've been waiting for to have on our shelves!
Inside you’ll find projects for five classic chair designs from a simple stool to one of Jason's iconic Lobster Pot armchairs.
