High-quality replacement shaft suitable for claw hammers with rectangular-shaped eyes.

Made in Sheffield by Richard Carter Ltd, this handle is crafted from durable hickory - a good choice for its strength and shock resistance. Ideal for restoring well-used or vintage claw hammers back to working condition. The current stock we have only comes in 14" length, with a 1" by 1/2" eye.

Each shaft comes with a hardwood wedge for secure fitting.

Please note: when fitting a replacement shaft, the eye should be dressed to suit the hammer head and fixed using both wood and steel wedges (if required). We recommend fitting is carried out by a competent person.
