Make no mistake, the Ashley Iles Skew chisel 1 1/2" is a large skew chisel.

It can be used like any other skew chisel and a broad chisel for smoothing-off.  Essentially two tools in one.

A skew of this size can be a bit of a handful so better suited to experienced pole lathe turners.

Perfect to gain vital seconds in 'Log-to-Leg' racing.

Product details:

• Made from high carbon steel, the equal bevels come with a basic hollow ground to about 35 degrees. They will need a final hone before use.

• The cutting edge is approx. 1 1/2" long

• Overall length 410mm (16") including a 230mm (9") beech handle.
