Hand-forged by Adam Ashworth (Ash & Iron), this 50mm scorp is made from CS70 and forged into a rigid closed loop, giving it excellent strength and control in use. The interior is hollow-ground with clean tram lines, helping the tool track smoothly and remove material efficiently.
Designed with bowl carving in mind, the robust loop makes it ideal for working deeper or wider forms - but it’s equally at home shaping spoons and smaller hollowed work. Each scorp arrives razor-sharp and ready to carve.

Adam Ashworth is the talented maker behind Ash and Iron, a company born out of his lifelong passion for creating things with his hands. From a young age, Adam was captivated by the art of making, which later evolved into a deep appreciation for green woodworking and tools.
During his university years, Adam balanced his academic workload with his love for green woodwork. As he contemplated his future, he realised that working with his hands was far more enticing than a conventional office job. With the guidance and support of friends who introduced him to the basics of forging and knife making, Adam decided to pursue knife making full time after completing his degree.
