Lost Art Press
Without these 2 gentlemen many titles may possibly have been lost or only findable on the low dusty shelves of a dimly lit bookshop.
Books from Lost Art Press will last a long time even if your grubby workshop soiled fingers paw repeatedly at every page because the books are so very well constructed. The words inside are also very well constructed so if you are not yet acquainted then please read on....
All of their books are printed in the United States on the best materials obtainable. They are all manufactured to last at least a century. That means using expensive sewn bindings, fiber tape and thick hardbacks.
Many of the woodworking books that I bought in the early days eventually went out of print which was a real shame because most were important classic texts. However, thanks to the guys at Lost Art Press, titles such as Welsh Stick Chairs, Country Woodcraft and Jennie Alexanders Make a Chair From a Tree are all readily available once more.
They even translated Jogge Sundqvist's Slojd i Tre (Slojd in Wood) into English so now a much wider audience can get inspired and be taught by one of the world's most talented woodworkers with axe and knife.
